Before you share

Text is stored in the QR image and can be read by anyone who has it. This is not encrypted storage. Some camera apps require a QR reader to display plain text.

Does the camera show a link or a prompt?

If a link or action appears, the camera has read the code. An unavailable page, login screen or wrong menu is a destination problem. Open the same address directly in a signed-out browser. For a printed menu, restoring the original address or its public permissions can fix the problem without reprinting.

Choose the right file

SVG keeps the code sharp when resized in a compatible design tool. PNG works well when exported at enough pixels for the final print. The PDF option creates an A4 or A6 print card. Keep the code square; stretching one side distorts the grid.
