Before you share

Contact details are stored inside the QR, so a scanner can read them without visiting a hosted profile. Changing a printed phone number requires a new code. Include only details you want to share.

Choose the right file

SVG keeps the code sharp when resized in a compatible design tool. PNG works well when exported at enough pixels for the final print. The PDF option creates an A4 or A6 print card. Keep the code square; stretching one side distorts the grid.

Does the camera show a link or a prompt?

If a link or action appears, the camera has read the code. An unavailable page, login screen or wrong menu is a destination problem. Open the same address directly in a signed-out browser. For a printed menu, restoring the original address or its public permissions can fix the problem without reprinting.
